This super simple rib recipe is always a great hit, just make sure you cook your ribs until they hit the 190° to 205° range. Yes pork may be cooked at 145° but for the pull apart, tender, perfectly rendered rib get that temp to at least 190°.

Ingredients

1 rack pork side ribs

1-2 cans of coca-cola (or cherry cola, Dr.pepper or my personal favorite, cherry dr.pepper)

2-3 tbsp of your preferred BBQ sauce

Salt and pepper to taste

  1. Slice ribs into 3-4 bone chunks and place in a large freezer bag.

  2. Pour in your preferred can of pop until ribs are covered then refrigerate for 12-24 hours.

  3. Preheat BBQ to 600°

  4. Add salt and pepper to both sides of your ribs

  5. Sear both sides of ribs on the BBQ for 5 minutes on each side then immediately reduce heat to low.

  6. Cook ribs for approximately 1.5 - 2 hours until fat is rendered.*

  7. Coat ribs with BBQ sauce in the last 20 minutes of cook time to caramalize sauce on the ribs.

*if using a instant read thermometer cook ribs to 190°- 205°. If you dont have that you can tell when ribs are rendered when you can spin a bone while still in the rib, it shouldn't pull out but it should spin freely.
